Ms.Tuma, my basketball coach handed all the players a secured envelope which revealed what team we would be playing on this season. My Brother snagged the envelope, looked at the team, and kept a straight face, not giving away which team I was chosen to be on.

“Just wait till we get home”, Brady said.

At this point I was eager to know and the ride home seemed like the longest 10 minutes ever.

“Family meeting”, I yelled so everyone in the house could hear. ” My fate is in this envelope”, I said jokingly.

“Well open it up Britt”, my Dad said anxiously.

As my shaky hands opened the enveloped,  I got the first glimpse of the paper, I saw the big writing of “Congratulations you have been chosen”, I stopped reading and a big grin washed over my face letting everyone know I had made the team.
